Ben Bortner, CFA
Founder and Chief Executive Officer 

Ben is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of GreenWorks Landscape Partners. He founded GreenWorks with the vision of building the leading full-service landscaping company in the Florida Keys and South Florida by either partnering with local owner-operators or facilitating the transition to new leadership with an owner-operator mentality. GreenWorks seeks to provide its operating partners with full back office support for things like payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, information technology, and marketing so that they can focus on customer service and production. 

Prior to founding GreenWorks, Ben acquired and served as President & CEO of The Pool Man of Key West, which he led from 2019 through January 2023. During his tenure, Ben drove significant organic and acquisitive growth – more than doubling revenue and nearly quadrupling EBITDA – before successfully exiting the business in 2022.  Under Ben’s leadership, The Pool Man of Key West became one of the largest and highest-rated pool service companies in the Florida Keys. 

Ben graduated magna cum laude from Western Washington University with degrees in Business Administration – Finance and Accounting. Ben is also a CFA Charterholder. Ben lives in Key West, Florida, and in his free time enjoys being on the water and fly fishing for permit, tarpon, and bonefish.
